WAYFINDING & ENVIRONMENTAL GRAPHIC DESIGN

Wayfinding design is the process of helping people navigate and understand the physical environment around them. It involves the strategic use of signage, symbols, and spatial cues to guide individuals efficiently from one point to another.

In commercial spaces, effective wayfinding design ensures customers can easily find products and services, enhancing their overall shopping experience while promoting brand identities. In residential areas, thoughtful wayfinding can create a sense of belonging and security, enabling residents and visitors to navigate housing complexes or neighborhoods with ease. In public spaces such as hospitals, schools, parks, and transportation hubs, well-designed wayfinding systems reduce confusion and stress, making the environment more user-friendly.

By providing clear and intuitive pathways, wayfinding design enhances people's confidence and comfort, ultimately shaping positive and memorable experiences in various settings.

In my recent role as a project designer at Cygnus Design Group, a wayfinding consulting company, I developed my wayfinding and environmental graphic design skills through various projects across Canada. While I currently can't publish samples due to confidentiality, I'm eager to discuss my experience further. Feel free to reach out!
